insert image fails
December 11, 2014, 01:34:22 pm
WP 4.01 Civicrm 4.5.4

I'm trying to insert an image in to an Event description field. I click on the Image icon and upload the image, but it displays as the broken image Icon. If I click on the insert Image Icon, I can browse and find the image with the KcFinder, double click on it, it get inserted but is again displayed as the broken image Icon. If I upload the image into the WP Image Library, click on it, copy the url, go back to civicrm, click on the insert Image Icon, paste in the url it works.

When the event page is displayed in WP, Firefly throws a Network Error.

File permissions are consistent throughout the whole site

I had a similar issue on one of my sites, though it was a drupal and not wp site.  Be sure to check your $civicrm_root in civicrm.settings.php and also check to make sure the images setting is consistent in both the Upload Directories and Resource URL's.  It sounds like your image is being uploaded to one directory and then when the editor is placing the image, it's using the path from the Resource Directory and if they are different, you would see the same issue you are seeing now.

May not be your solution, but worth a shot to check.
