CiviCRM upadtes in JED?
December 12, 2014, 08:07:03 am
Not sure if this is the correct place to post this question, but I have a client that I've been trying to talk into using CiviCRM for a while. Their membership software is terrible, and they're trying to figure out how to use Google docs to keep track of volunteer and contact activity. The problem is that I went to send them the listing for CiviCRM in the JED but it has no star ratings, and the most recent update says 2012.  Not only that, but it only lists Joomla 2.3 compatibility, which is hitting end-of-life this month. That certainly isn't going to attract new users to the project, at least any who are running Joomla. Is there anything that can be done about the way it appears in the JED?

Can you contact the Joomla team and ask about this?

I'm asking Paul and Brian to see how to solve that. Thanks for the feedback

I realize this is an old topic, but something else that you may want to look at is integration into the Joomla update system.    It would make updates much easier to administer.
