What's your hosting situation?  Shared or a VPS?  Your problem sounds like of my clients where they have SSL installed - login is quite slow but it runs fine after that.  They are on a shared host, and I guess the initial slowness is caused by starting the SSL processes.  Do you have SSL?

Hi vdtoan,

I'm sorry to hear that you've encountered issues.

Please can I ask you the following questions:
1) Do you have any CiviCRM extensions or Joomla plugins installed? If so which.
2) Do you know if you use "ACLs"? These are known to have a performance hit.
3) How are your reports configured?

In general when I've encountered performance issues with Civi it's either been down to ACLs or poorly written/configured reports.

Stick at it!

hi clarkac,

we are using shared hosting and we don't have any ssl certification, login is fine, but running civicrm at the first time is really slow.

Hi John,

 1. i don't have any civicrm extension, but have a few joomla plugin, such as k2 and some others,
 2. sorry but what did you mean by ACLs ? is that a part of civicrm or the joomla ? how can i determine it ?
 3. I have not configured anything, because i start from clean installation.

Really appreciate for your help.
