batch contact entry
December 16, 2014, 02:30:50 am
hi,

is there a way to batch entry contacts?
now I have to put my contacts in a csv and then import it, but is there a way to do this without csv? but not that I have to go through every step to add a new contact?

regards

since you are using drupal, one nice way to do this is with a webform where you can set yourself up a contact with the fields you want to create,  - and then you clone the 'webform contact fieldset' and hey presto have a form where you can enter data for lots of contacts and then submit
you can even add a conditional fields for 'add another' to then see fields for contact 2, 3, etc
coleman provides very good documentation

otherwise in civi you can create a profile with just the fields you need, that will create a single contact but at least it focusses on just the fields you actually require
