Adding CiviCRM button to Custom areas of my theme (beyond posts and pages)
December 22, 2014, 01:46:56 pm
As you know, once you install Civi to WordPress, all posts and pages have a CiviCRM button next to the Add Media button on the top of the WYSIWYG editor to create the shortcode. It's easy and great.

But I have a theme with custom areas. One of which is an Event Calendar created by the theme developer (it's not a plugin) and if I click on Add New there, I get pretty much a standard WP Add Post page with the usual suspects, some things that relate to the event calendar underneath, but no CiviCRM button. I get my GravityForms 'Add Form' button though. But I want my Civi button so I can add my ticket sales info.

I can go into a post or page and create shortcode there, but it's a nuisance.

So can I add my CiviCRM to the Event Calendar area or other Custom areas in my wp-admin or am I stuck with just posts and pages?
