One of our organizations issues FREE Alumnae Memberships ($0) after volunteers have had paid Memberships ($ for insurance fees) for many years.

If FREE Alumnae Membership is issued by Admin in the back end -> and Send Confirmation and Receipt is checked -> Email confirmation shows the $ amount from the most recently held paid Membership. In other words - it appears to simply grab the last Contribution associated with Membership as opposed to showing $0.

I've been able to reproduce this - the $amount on the receipt for the FREE Membership indeed changes based on the most recently paid Contribution associated with Membership.

Looks like a bug - has anyone else seen this?

We're going to work around this by having admin not Edit the existing Membership (changing the Membership Type) - but by Adding a New Alumnae LifeTime Membership (with a $0 payment) instead.

I do have a small fix for when end_dates are "null" (LifeTime Memberships) - currently in Email they display as:
Membership End Date 0th, 0
