Is it possible to have one transaction actually apply to two Contribution forms?
January 04, 2015, 02:46:41 pm
Greetings,

For one of our clients, it has been requested by them to ease the accounting madness at their office to reconfigure CiviCRM Contribution pages to actually drive two separate CiviCRM Contribution pages within the context of a single charge transaction.

This client has premium level memberships which are actually a split between membership dues and a donation to the organization.

They are wondering if it would be possible to modify the "member join" contribution page such that if one of the higher tiers of membership are selected, it would somehow tabulate the overage above and beyond member dues to the yearly donation campaign contribution page... such that when someone joins at that premium level, then the yearly organization donation meter would automatically reflect the part of their payment which was a contribution towards the yearly fund raising campaign.

Is something like that possible within core CiviCRM?

I am thankful,
