Importing start/end dates for Relationships
January 09, 2015, 02:34:24 am
Hi guys, I saw a very old post about this on the forum, but I wanted to see if anyone was aware of any update to importing start & end dates for relationships or any way of adding start/end dates in bulk (rather than individually)?

Would appreciate any thoughts.
Tim

Please summarise the "very old post", or at least point to it, so that there is a reference point for "any update to".

Here's the link: http://forum.civicrm.org/index.php?topic=16577.0

It's from 2010, so I suppose "very old" could be considered hyperbole.

Hi Tim,

You can use the API for importing.

There's this extension, which currently says it's for version 4.4; not sure if it'll work on 4.5 without updating, but my guess is it's about 50-50: https://civicrm.org/extensions/api-csv-import-gui

There's also a command line tool that imports CSVs into CiviCRM: https://civicrm.org/blogs/xavier/api_batch_tools
