Upgrading to PHP 5.6?
January 13, 2015, 09:34:32 am
I have a Civi 4.4LTS install running on PHP 5.3.  Their host recently informed them that they'd be upgrading to PHP 5.6, since PHP 5.3 is being end-of-lifed.

I've never run Civi on PHP 5.6 - have other folks?  Any breakages or other things to note?  I saw https://issues.civicrm.org/jira/browse/CRM-15431, but a) that seems to affect PHP 5.5 as well, and only when using internationalization, which isn't the case here.

I'm not aware of any incompatabilities. I think maybe totten just did a round of cleanups related to that in 4.6. So if 4.5 doesn't work right, try upgrading to 4.6.
