Scheduled jobs - what is updated?

I have just done a manual update of the scheduled job which updats membership status. The log report says that 117 contacts have been updated. How can I find which ones?

In 4.4 and 4.5 there is an activity type  Change Membership Status and an activity is generated automatically whenever there is a change of membership status.  I am not sure about 4.2 (or 4.3)
