Unable to process any donations

I have updated my site to Joomla 2.5.28 and Civicrm 4.45 to try and resolve any problems those might be causing.

Right now, if you go to http://caringisthekey.org/index.php/ct-menu-item-11/donate-now and process a donation, the page simply reloads ready to process another payment.  Even if I tell it I am going to mail a check, it just reloads the page.

I cannot find any errors in the system to explain why this is happening.  I have turned on Maximum reporting, and it generates no errors. 
Authorize.net does not show any transaction attempt - declined or otherwise, so the site is not communicating with that either.

The site was working correctly previously.
The only error I get is one about the date not matching, even though Joomla is set to New_York and I have manually set the PHP configuration settings to America/New_York to match.  Civicrm says they are off by 1 hour.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

I am not sure which of the following describes you situation:
  • this problem just appeared and to try to solve it you updated to Joomla 2.5.28 and Civicrm 4.45 (4.4.5?)
  • the site was working correctly, then you did the updates and now it isn't working

Also, what version of CiviCRM are you on?  If it is 4.4.5 then you should try upgrading to 4.4.11 to see if that fixes your problem. If it is 4.5, make sure you are on the latest point version of that (4.5.5).

Both statements are true.
It was working and stopped. I reinstalled and started getting scrit errors when we loaded the pages, so we tried updating. After updating, we got rid of all error messages, but were back to not being able to process anything.

I mistyped. I upgraded to 4.5.5
