Location of images that KCFinder can KCFind
January 20, 2015, 03:01:15 pm
In trying to add an image to a CKEditor text box (in this case an Event Announcement), when I try to browse to find the image, I get an Explorer-type directory with a URL at the top that I cannot change and a file folder marked "images" and a single file, "index.php". Where the heck am I supposed to put the images for KCFinder to find?
I can Upload an image (.jpeg), but all that shows up is a little (I think) Java icon. What did I do wrong?
Thanks for any help. I started using the Internet when it was still ARPANet and we thought we were hot stuff when we got 1200 baud modems, but all this new-fangled stuff is making me a geezer.

The path where uploaded images are saved is a setting in CiviCRM. You find that setting under Adminitser --> System Settings --> Directories and Paths

I feel a bit offended by the tone of your message and your boost of using Arpanet.

Thank you. The ARPANet remark was an attempt to mitigate my stupidity.

My problem has been pretty much resolved, but in the process I got to be using IMCE, which I like better. My only problem (posted elsewhere) is that, while I can use IMCE and its file source for most Drupal composition, CiviEvents always goes to CKFinder and its, different, default file source.
