Upcoming Events does not update

The Upcoming Events block on my Drupal site is not updating. It still shows events that are over and does not show new events.
I've tried clearing my cache, taking the block off the screen and putting it back on. None of this works. I've just spent over an hour searching the web, including this forum, for a solution, or even a similar problem.
