MailChimp extension conflict with webform_civicrm
January 24, 2015, 04:53:23 am
See https://www.drupal.org/node/2390127

In short, having the MailChimp extension enabled without matching functionality on the Drupal side causes webform_civicrm to fail on creating new contacts. Tested only without Drupal modules installed, but I don't think this should happen in any case.

This is on a new site - I've now disabled the extension and have no immediate plans to use it, but I thought someone should make a note of it... thanks!

Can you clarify exactly which mailchimp extension (and which version of it) you were using? I believe there are at least 2 of them out there...

It's version 1.6. It should also be noted that the site is exhibiting the extension-related error as described here:

https://issues.civicrm.org/jira/browse/CRM-14126

In PHP 5.4, downloading extensions wasn't working at all; in investigating the webform error, I fell back to 5.3 and left it there. Hope all this helps!
