Mysql Join limit/ Civicrm Registration
June 03, 2008, 02:04:18 am
Hi all,

At the moment i am running civicrm 1.9.13019 on drupal 5.7 and i am going to update as soon as my new server is ready.
I am having some profile registration problems and was wondering if this problem is fixed in civicrm2.

On my registration page i have 70 fields for the user to fill. This works fine until you click register.
MySQL can only use 61 tables in a join, error + query is dumped on screen.

I disabled some of the extra fields i added and now its working again.

My question:
Is there a limit of the number of profile fields i can add to the registration form in civicrm 2

Regard

Rens

Storage of custom data was restructured in 2.0 and I'm pretty sure that it removes this issue. You may want to look at the db structure or dig around the wiki to confirm this.
