Problems with some civix generates
January 28, 2015, 07:02:51 am
Since I have updated my civix last week I have problems with a couple of generates:

  • generate:api does not do anything, not even throw an error
  • generate:report works, but not if I add a --copy. If I do that it dies after a remark 'Initialize report CRM_Yearlycaprequest_Form_Report_MyReport' and generates nothing
  • generate:page, generate:upgrader and generate:form work nicely, as does generate:module

We did a developer training last Friday, and all students experienced the same problem with the generate:report....

I am puzzled....and wonder if there are more error reports? Any hints as to where I should look?

a) did you CD into the directory of the extension you just generated?
b) what are your permission settings?

Yes I did CD into the extension dir. I do not think permission would be the problem because then all of the generates would fail rather than one? But to be on the safe side I did a
Code: [Select]
sudo chmod 777 -R <myextensionpath>So I jumped to the conclusion that there is another problem  ???

We're experiencing the same problem.
Any updates on this?
We've tried a bunch of options on a system level, but nothing works.
We get the "initialize ..." but no writing of any files.

we've tried it with own examples as with the example on the wiki.
Both don't work.
