Fetch Bounces & Inbound Email Processing Error
January 30, 2015, 10:18:02 am
I've been up and down the search engines and I feel dumb because it seems I'm the only one with this issue.

I'm an amateur at best with coding. I've been dealing with drupal and CiviCRM for about 3 months now.  So please bare with me!!!

I've attempted to configure the bounce email processing and email-to-activity features of CiviMail and have been getting these errors almost consistently.

I get no changes on the CiviCRM side with contact put on hold, nor do I get activities for inbound emails.  However on occasion when I've executed fetch_bounce and Inbound_email through scheduled jobs; the emails up and vanish from the inbox of the email address themselves so there is some type of communication happening. I haven't pinpointed what triggers that though.

I've checked and checked the server, username, and password information. I've tried adjusting the info in different way to no avail. Without the mailing features of CiviCRM, its becoming more and more difficult to justify the use of CiviCRM. I've invested time and my word that this was the solution to our CRM problems, so I need to make sure I've done everything I can to get this right. PLEASE HELP!

My SMTP outgoing setup is working just fine. I can send emails to my hearts content through CiviMail.
 ??? ??? ???

Thank you in advance
Sincerely
V

Hershel

Not sure what the issue is, but can you try POP3 instead? If that would work, then you could use that. :)
