Joomla - Braintree Payment Processor
January 31, 2015, 01:31:12 pm
I have found the Payment Process for Braintree Payments online for CivicCRM Joomla at: https://github.com/vivekarora/braintree

I configured a membership and contribution page to use Braintree as the payment processor and upon testing I found that the "test-drive" link works like it's supposed to. Processes the transaction,  adds  the new members information, etc.

I have tried to TEST the LIVE site with a valid Debit Card and after I click on "Make Contribution" I get this error: http://prntscr.com/5zh7zt. No Payment is processed, No user information is created. I've been told it's the Payment Processor extensions however I am not experienced enough with it and I'm at a loss.

I would prefer to NOT change Payment Processors at this time, if someone would be able to help me & possibly others that'd be great!

I can't offer any technical help as I imagine I know less about how payment processors work than you do.

However, I would like to offer general advice to anyone who comes across this thread.

Unless you have good technical skills and a real need for a different payment processor, you should choose one from http://wiki.civicrm.org/confluence/display/CRMDOC/Payment+Processors.  If you are a non-techie, I would go even further and say you should only choose one that is in Core unless you have the money to pay someone to solve any problems that might occur.

If you have to consider another processor for some reason, again, unless you have the money to pay someone to solve problems, you should choose one that is listed on https://civicrm.org/extensions, and is known to be compatible with the version of CiviCRM you are using.
