Typical bounces fetcher processing time?

I'd been chasing down an issue where the bounces fetcher ran as scheduled but never returned with a "Finished" message.  I worked with the assumption it was timing out so I bumped up the PHP max execution time to 5 minutes and that seems to have worked.  Just a rough average on a few runs comes out to be around 3-4 minutes to process ~25 bounced messages.

Does that sound about normal or do I have a bottleneck somewhere?

Hi,

How is your mail account used for the bounces? Is this a pop or imap one? Usually, fetching the bounces from the mailbox is what takes the most time, but a few min is quite long (but I run my crons from the shell, so no timeout, don't really know)
