Is there an interest in event 'subscription'? this is not necessarily the same as the multiple-event registration featue (CiviCRM event 'shopping cart') - I have seen there was also interest in buying a 'membership' that would automatically include a registration (for a conference or event). The subscription would allow a user to register for 1 or > events/conferences per year, for instance

Could this not be done by issuing each member a unique CiviDiscount code worth 100% off all events and that can be used X number of times?
I'm not sure, some upkeep might be needed to update the discount codes to apply to new events as they are added.
Then all this extension needs to do is to automate the generation of the new discount codes.
