Unknown path for Case Types
February 12, 2015, 09:46:59 pm
Hello after upgrading from 4.5.5 to 4.5.6, I have a case with Case Type.
In Administer CiviCRM > CiviCase > Case Types
I have a Unknown path page with an URL  : http://site.com/civicrm/a

While checking the demo page for CiviCRM I also noticed that there is no longer Case but Work Orders…
I feel I missed something in the process ! I can live withe the new Work Orders to be called Case but how can I access the Case Type ?

Thanks for help on that matter.

Probably someone else on the demo site was testing out string replacements and changed the word "Case" to "Work Order". The demo sites get rebuilt every 24 hours so it should be back to normal soon.
As for your missing path, please try clearing your CiviCRM caches.
Try asking your question on the new CiviCRM help site.

Thank you Coleman, I've got the point about the changing word in the test site.

Concerning the missing path, I still cannot access the Case Type after clearing the CiviCRM caches…

ichi, do you mean that from the page

http://site.org/civicrm/admin?reset=1

you click on "Case Types" and go to

http://site.org/civicrm/a

instead of

http://site.org/civicrm/a/#/caseType

?

I will note that it's a bit odd to me that on the demo site the link is to

http://d45.demo.civicrm.org/civicrm/admin/options/case_type?reset=1

but when I click on that it redirects me to

http://d45.demo.civicrm.org/civicrm/a/#/caseType

ichi, also test hovering your mouse over the link "Case Types" before you click and in the bottom of your browser (in Firefox at least) you can see what the link will be. Tell us what it says.

It seems that the odd behaviour [no access to the Case Types] was in fact due to this module : CiviCRM Reference fields 7.x-1.0

Little after switching off that module, I could have a page without the case types but without the error warning : Unknown path for Case Types
Then –probably memory effect– I could see the Case Types with the URL /civicrm/a#/caseType
I confirm that now the path /civicrm/admin/options/case_type?reset=1 redirect to /civicrm/a#/caseType

Thank you Coleman and Hershel for your concern and help.
I can now start to master the use of the cases within a team.
