Is there a reason why the Mailing Subject line is limited to 60 characters?

I've changed it in sync with database i.e varchar(128)

any reason this might have reverted to 60 characters - just noticed this problem has re-commenced in our 2.0.

E.g.

Mailing Name   Lend the planet a hand - support the Greens' election campaign
Subject   Lend the planet a hand - support the Greens' election campai

So the Mailing Name is fine but it is cutting it off in the Subject and that is how it is being sent out.
