Logging on. can't remove contacts from groups

D6. Civi 4.5.5
When CiviCRM logging is on I get a DB error when I try to remove contacts from a group.
Not sure if this is intentional behaviour.
There are times I love technology...and then there are times I *love* technology :-)

Ha ha, when are errors ever intentional?

If you could post much more detailed steps to reproduce the bug, including a backtrace (enable debug+backtrace in admin settings) and which screen you are using exactly (there are several ways of removing contacts from groups), that would be a start.
Try asking your question on the new CiviCRM help site.

I've just upgraded to 4.5.6, cleared caches etc and the error is still present. I cannot remove a contact from a group with logging enabled.

This error arises when I follow the two processes below:

  • Contacts / Manage Groups/ click on Contacts of selected group / select individual or all records / Action=remove from Group
    S
earch / Find contacts / select Group name / ...


This error arises when I follow the process below:

  • Go to contact record / Groups tab / Remove
    The
same error arises when trying to rejoin a group from the contact screen.

I am also unable to delete a record from the civicrm_group_contact table using phpadmin:

Could you try to disable and then re-enable logging?

Tried that a few times without any change in behaviour :-(
