Harmonizing CKFinder and KCFinder
February 18, 2015, 07:37:19 am
How do I get the KCFinder, which I guess is a now part of CiviCRM core, and CKFinder, which works for the Drupal pages, to look in the same directory? I've set the Drupal CKEditor to use IMCE, which I think has a better browser, but CiviEvents will only use KCFinder when I want to add a picture to an event listing. If I update to 4.5.6, will this clear up? Thanks.
(I should add that I posted this in the CiviEvents sub-board with no response, so I assume this is a bigger issue than just Events.)

One idea is to set CiviCRM to use the drupal wysiwyg editor. Then whatever you configure in drupal will be reflected in Civi.
Caveat: there has been discussion of deprecating/removing this feature in Civi in the future because it's hard for the core team to maintain (and no one from the Drupal community is helping to maintain it).
But it's still there in 4.5 if you want to try it.
Try asking your question on the new CiviCRM help site.
