Can I force a schedule reminder manually?
February 20, 2015, 12:32:52 pm
Hi:

I have three events occurring back-to-back next week in three different cities.  Each event has a schedule reminder set up that was supposed to go out yesterday (absolute date, not relative date).  I don't believe they went out, but I'm not sure.

Going to Settings:Scheduled Jobs, and scrolling down to "Scheduled reminders sender," it appears that the last one that went out was for another event all the way back in late November 2014.

1) Where would these jobs be listed, and 2) can I manually force them to run immediately?

Thanks.

The page you refer to is the list of jobs.  Check that the "Enabled?" field is "yes".  These are triggered by cron, so check whether any of the other scheduled jobs have been running.  If none of them have run since November, the problem is quite likely to be with your cron setup.  There are various ways of configuring that - see http://wiki.civicrm.org/confluence/display/CRMDOC/Managing+Scheduled+Jobs

You can run the job manually - from the same page go the "more" link at the far right, then "Execute now".
