Hi utpaljha,
Sorry for the lack of response till now. That project idea was less fleshed out than many. I see you have experience working on Android devices. What do you think of the idea of trying to support a two way synchronization between CiviCRM server and contacts on Android phones at least for Google Apps users? I think on the CiviCRM side it would need to be limited to only contacts that person is permissioned to see, and on the phone side there needs to be a way that they can keep some contacts synched with CiviCRM while other ones do not get synched. I would imagine a custom field with a Yes/No value to Synch might work.

Do you have other ideas?

Joe - We already have what you are proposing through the Google Apps Sync extension: it sync contacts to the Google Apps Directory, and you can then query the directory from any mobile device: iPhone or Android. This is also much more efficient since this is a query rather than storing all the CRM contacts on the phone. Give me a buzz tomorrow and I can do a demo for you.
