easy way to disable ui printing from inside a smarty template?

Hi all,
I'm trying to create a dashboard with the extension civisualize. It does most of the heavy lifting in a smart template. I've tried but been unsuccessful to hide all regular CiviCRM elements when i print the dashboard. In other words, when i hit print on that page I only want the graphs and charts in my civisualize template to appear on the printed page.

If there are any css wizards out there I'd love to pick your brain because I'm having a tough time precisely designing this dashboard to print right...

Thanks a lot guys,
V

Hey vmantese,

I am not really sure whether there is a way in Smarty to achieve this, but something which you can surely try out is creating a page dynamically containing just the Civisualize content and then print it. This(http://www.mindfiresolutions.com/Printing-content-of-a-particular-div-1014.php) blog post can really help you achieve that.

One more thing, this will also help you print filtered graphs as that can be achieved through the Javascript.
