We have a simble page set up for mailing list sign ups. It is configured to put the sign ups in the selected mailing groups and we enabled the double opt in option in CiviCRM ( [site-URL]/wp-admin/admin.php?page=CiviCRM&q=civicrm/admin/setting/preferences/mailing&reset=1). We configured also to get mails if someone sign up with this profile.

My Problem: When I sign up for a mailing group, I get the notification mail for the sign up, but I get no mail to subscribe. In CiviCRM-backend the state for the selected mailing group is "pending".

Am i missing something?

Wordpress 4.1.1 and CiviCRM 4.4

Have you activated the scheduled job that actually sends the mails? Have you checked if CiviCRM sends any mail?

Yes and yes. We allready send newsletters and single mails via CiviCRM.
