Error on Install "A Session is active"

On installation, I get the following error message.  Does anyone know what I should do?  Thanks in advance for any help you can give.

How did you install CiviCRM exactly?

Thank you for responding.

I followed the instructions in this page:
 http://wiki.civicrm.org/confluence/display/CRMDOC/Drupal+Installation+Guide+for+CiviCRM+4.5+-+Drupal+7 page.

I am on a shared VPS account

I installed a fresh copy of Drupal 7.

I wasn't sure how to get the downloaded installer on the server.  I unzipped it on my mac and uploaded the entire civicrm folder to /var/www/html/drupal/sites/all/modules

Regarding step 2, "Tell Drupal where to find the CiviCRM 4.5 Module" I think it went well using the standard installer.  I didn't have to do it manually.

I used the installer at
http://mydomain.com/drupal/sites/all/modules/civicrm/install/

I used servers = localhost,  civicrm database = civicrm, drupal database = drupal.  Language is english.  If you want, I can send you a pdf of the page after it verified everything.

It told me I had to increase my php memory and mysql thread stacks which I did.  It then said that it looked good and was ready to install.  I pressed the "Check requirements and install civicrm" button at the top.

Does that answer your question or do you need more specifics?

I'm not sure what happened. You didn't activate the CiviCRM module in Step 2, right?

I would suggest you visit the Modules page and de-activate CiviCRM and then re-activate it and see if that helps.
