Fixing the checkMysqlTime Issue with my New Install
March 09, 2015, 02:28:11 pm
I'm getting an Environmental Settings alert when I log in and it's preventing me from sending out mailings.

Quote
Timestamps reported by MySQL (eg "2015-03-09 16:23") and PHP (eg "2015-03-09 21:23" ) are mismatched.

It links to http://wiki.civicrm.org/confluence/display/CRMDOC/checkMysqlTime which says I might need to synchronize the timezones between PHP and MySQL. I checked and PHP is -6 and MySQL is -5.

I'm not really a developer, so could someone gently explain to me how to fix this problem?

You can set the time zone in PHP in a php.ini or .htaccess file. Google for how and you will see that it's easy.
