Membership Report Bug....
March 10, 2015, 02:36:26 am
Hi,

- J! 3.4.0
- CiviCRM 4.5.5

When I search for members whose membership has expired prospectively, that is if today is 10th March 2015 and I search for members whose membership expires say between 1 June 2015 and 1 July 2015 I get no matching contact records. However if I perform the same search on say 2 July 2015 namely expiring members 1 June 2015 and 1 July 2015 then I do get results. (See attached image where I have a contact whose membership expires 30 June 2015 but is not being shown).

Am I missing something really obvious here or is this a bug?

Have you been able to replicate the behaviour on our demo site ?

( Also can you confirm that removing the tag filter  has no effect on the underlying problem you describe.)

Hi Joanne,

- Demo site is an earlier version than mine viz 4.5.4 so not sure if it works in the current version of 4.5.8 but I cannot upgrade mine right at the moment.
- I can replicate it on the demo site. I did not use tags there and it still occurs. See attached.

There does seem to be a problem with the Lapsed Memberships report. Although the description says it "Provides a list of memberships that have lapsed or will lapse by the date you specify." it appears to only find memberships that are already lapsed.

However, you don't actually need to use the Lapsed Membership report, you can get the same information by setting the appropriate Membership Expiration Date filters  on the Membership Details report.

Hi Joanne,

Thanks for the pointer to the membership detail report. I have successfully used that to pull the correct information.
