Mail merge and USPS standards - upper case

My civi user wants to send out form letters, i.e. do a mail merge. She wants the name/address to be upper case, according to USPS standards, but the contacts in civi are lower case. Is there a way i can convert when doing mail merge i.e. specify to be caps?
