March 18, 2015, 10:21:44 am
Hi I am new with civiCRM and I would like to know if it is a way to add a shopping cart, adding of the features like the products, shippable, etc. and subscribers to the module.  Is there a plugin or I can integrate using the developing.  Please I would like to have an advice where to start.

Thank you

Nilda

Hi Nilda,

The short answer is unfortunately "not at the moment".

CiviCRM doesn't do e-commerce - your best bet is to install an e-commerce Wordpress extension.  At the moment, none of them integrate with CiviCRM, so you'd end up with two different sets of contacts.  Drupal folks have integration with their e-commerce modules and CiviCRM - and there's some discussion amongst some of us to bring some of that integration to Wordpress next month, but it's a matter of whether we can find time/get funding.

That said - it's pretty likely we'll have SOME sort of integration, and we're planning on using WooCommerce.  So if you want e-commerce integration with CiviCRM on Wordpress, that's the e-commerce module to install!

Hi Jon:

Using WooCommerce  the order use Users as a customer and civiCRM use contacts.  My first solution will be try to insert in the back-end all Contacts to the Users table for the order to have access to all Contacts.  My question is do you have an advice to approach in different way the connection?

Thank you

Nilda

I wish to have an interface to PrestaShop.

We want to use Wordpress too, but as a Blog / CMS solution only.
Prestashop shall be used as the eCommerce solution with civiCRM. Currently, I am also evaluating other CRMs that can come with PrestaShop.

I would appreciate any hints or thoughts to this idea.

Thank you a lot!
