Views - How to show members of a local chapter
March 19, 2015, 10:14:22 am
Hi, my national non-profit has several local chapters, and we are using civicrm on drupal.  I'm trying to use views to make a page that will reveal the members of a local chapter.  Initially I wanted to use our smartgroups, but apparently views has some difficulty with smartgroups.  So I thought I would try to use the relationships between members and their local chapter, but I'm having a hard time trying to figure out how.  When I use the filter 'relationship type a to b' and select 'chapter members' it shows everyone who is a chapter member, but I want to just show the members of one particular chapter.

Any ideas?  I feel like this is possible, but I'm just missing something.

hi scribbler

sounds like you need to add a filter or contextual filter depending on how you are expecting to get to this listing ie is the local chapter already defined eg because of the linkage it has to the 'current user' (in which case a contextual filter), or because of the civi id of the local chapter being in the url (again a contextual filter) or because you have a page set up for each local chapter with links to them (in which case just a filter)

happy to try and help once i see the bigger picture.
