I'm new to CiviCRM but am I trying to use 4.6b5 on WP4.0.1 with a couple of small non-profit organizations to manage membership. I'm especially interested in 4.6 because of the new WordPress plugins integration.  I have CiviCRM setup on a test system and it's been good but I can't figure out how to send bulk email because of problems on the New Mailing screen:

- there is nothing in the Recipients box and I can't find anyway to get anything there
- the options wrench next to recipients does nothing
- the recipients "preview" does nothing
also
- clicking Preview as HTML or Preview as Plain Text does not seem to generate any preview screen, although a "previewing" tag lights up in the top corner

If I try to send mail from a group it will put recipients in the counter but I can't see who they are and the recipients box is still empty.

I can send a test email but I can't figure out how to control what lands in the Recipients box. From looking at the Drupal sandbox I think I should see a list of groups there.

Elsewhere I saw someone asking about using F12 to preview Javascript errors and here is a truncated list of what I am seeing:

I do have a few groups defined. I am new to CiviCRM so it's possible I'm missing something obvious or some configuration item.

I started with 4.6b1 and then today upgraded to 4.6b5 with no change.

Any tips or suggestions appreciated. I would love to get this working and invest some effort in learning and using CiviCRM on WordPress.

I checked on the wordpress demo site and the mailing UI seems to work correctly there.

Seems like a lot of WP users find that it's a plugin incompatibility that's causing trouble.
