Paypal Website Payments Pro for CiviEvent and CiviContribute
April 01, 2015, 10:14:36 pm
Hello all,

I'm having a few problems with getting Paypal Payments Pro to work with Event registration and Membership contributions forms. I've set the config as suggested by the wiki (http://wiki.civicrm.org/confluence/display/CRMDOC/PayPal+Website+Payments+Pro+and+Express+Configuration#PayPalWebsitePaymentsProandExpressConfiguration-Configuration) - I'm using a paypal sandbox account.

The problem I'm having is CiviContribute does nothing more than return to the contribute form page without error - but without processing the payment either, and CiviEvent reports:

Code: [Select]

#10 /home/irswastaging/public_html/index.php(21): menu_execute_active_handler()

Sorry but we are not able to provide this at the moment.
Could not find valid value for id

I'm not able to get any more information than that and so am struggling to see what to try next. Any help would be appreciated!

thanks,

welly

I've spent several hours struggling to get sandbox testing Paypal accounts to work.  Then I pulled my real credit card out of my pocket and ran a live transaction for $0.25.

That may have been the best quarter dollar I've ever spent.

It worked like a charm.  As long as your IPN setting at Paypal.com is correct, try this in live mode.

Try CiviTeacher: the online video tutorial CiviCRM learning library.

I so agree with Stoob! Someone one commissioned me to spend 1-2 hours getting paypal sandbox testing to work because they'd spent more time than that on it & failed
