Relative dates filters based on the time interval "week" assume that Sunday is the first day of the week. This is not true in all countries, for example Europe and many countries in Asia/Pacific region consider Monday to be the first day of the week ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:First_Day_of_Week_World_Map.svg ).

Should this be a localisation setting? (located after fiscal year perhaps) Would there be any consequences throughout CiviCRM apart from the relative date filters in searches and reports?

People are probably used to work around this issue, but it should be rather easy to add, and will make CiviCRM more world-friendly.

Edit: apparently in Quebec, in French, the suggested first day of the week is Monday, but lots of calendars still use Sunday. ISO recommends Monday as the first day of the week. http://bdl.oqlf.gouv.qc.ca/bdl/gabarit_bdl.asp?Th=2&t1=&id=1241

Depending on how far we want to push this, the calendar popups also use Sunday as the first day of the week. Presumably this is configurable in the widget that is used.

(This sparked some debate on a few IRC channels I asked on.. since apparently Canada uses ISO-8601, therefore Monday is the first day of the week for civil calendars, but in practice, most people and common household calendars will use Sunday.)
