In general I like the new tabbed UI in CiviMail (CiviCRM 4.6.2).  I also like the fact that the "text preview" feature appears to run the message through the html2text conversion.  This conversion process, however, ignores the text version of the selected footer; instead, it converts the html version of the footer. The conversion also seems to have trouble resolving tokens in the footer ({domain.name} being the example I encountered). This problem is evident not only in preview, but in the outgoing messages as well. Symptom verified with the sandbox system.

I don't think that code has changed. Can you confirm this is a regression form earlier versions?

My apologies -- you are correct.  The same problems exists in 4.5.8.  It is the HTML footer that gets converted, and the {domain.name} token is ignored in some cases (but not in all cases -- I have not found a pattern here).  I just never noticed these issues before the new version made the converted HTML viewable in the preview.
