Programming Languages?
May 04, 2015, 11:20:00 pm
I'm new to CiviCRM and trying to learn more about it both from a user and developer viewpoint. I went looking for information on which programming languages and compilers/interpreters are used but didn't find anything at http://wiki.civicrm.org/confluence/display/CRMDOC/CiviCRM+Documentation . Am I looking in the wrong place? Is this documented somewhere or do I have to look at the code to find out?

Thanks

Suggest you take a read through http://en.flossmanuals.net/civicrm-developer-guide/

eg http://en.flossmanuals.net/civicrm-developer-guide/the-codebase/

PHP and Smarty are both used
