Help. How to Submit Cases on a Website
August 11, 2015, 01:28:08 pm
I'm stuck. I submitted this question on SE and sent it to a developer but haven't gotten any responses. We were hoping we could use CiviCRM (with Joomla) to offer our visitors the ability to submit a case using CiviCase. Is this not an option or, if it is, could someone point me in the direction of the documentation?

No, I posted the question on Stack Exchange, I contacted a developer listed on the CiviCRM site and haven't received a reply to either. I'm having trouble getting information about my specific question, which is how to allow users to submit Cases to CiviCRM via a Joomla website. Is it possible "out of the box" or do we need an additional form/survey application? That's what I'm trying to understand.

There is a reply to your question on Stack Exchange (http://civicrm.stackexchange.com/questions/4492/submitting-cases-on-a-website) that predates this forum question.   It clearly indicates that what you want is not OOB and will require some custom coding.

I didn't receive an email notifying me that there was an update on that thread so I didn't know there was one and hadn't checked. I tend to rely on those things. Thanks again.
