Hello To all

Situation : we select via generic search and like to change the contacts via batch-update by profile.
 But markes selection will not be accepted.

We 've got this strange bug:
- generic search - let's say only contacts by 1 search field - OK
- we get the result list - for example 4390 result entries. - OK
- if we mark all lines of the first result-side: the 'marked' counter field remains 0 ??
( when going on with action = update batch by profile. the system says: "Please select one or more contacts for this action.
 To use the entire set of search results, click the 'all records' radio button)
- whem marking all entries (for batch-update) the system says:
"The maximum number of contacts you can select for Batch Update is 100. You have selected 4267. Please select fewer contacts from your search results and try again."


How to escape from this?
As I found no such bug reports - could this be a follow-on problem of customer-fields, / Coding ?

It could be an issue with your browser/Javascripts settings, as the count functionality is likely a jQuery function. Are you able to try this on another computer with another browser? Using custom fields should not be a problem with this function.

Hello Erik

It isn't a browser problem - since we checked it on several browsers an different users.

For the markings: it works if we select single lines , then the counter increases, and we can select the rows for further processsing. But that's nasty with 4000 entries.  The mark all - function is that what seems to be erroneous.

It looks like it something in your local installation. I have tried to replicate the bug but it is not possible. I have tried in another 4.4.19 install. My installation was in dutch but and it worked as expected.

I guess you're right, something with our installation is wrong
