We are exploring how we can show on activity tab of an individual all the activities targeted to their household.

These activities can be differentiated visually from the rest.

In many of our organizations we registered activities related to all members of a household. For example, the delivery of food is done in a household unit although all its members are beneficiaries.

This way, it would be really convenient to register this activity in the household and subsequently displayed on the household activity tab as on the each activity tab of individual member of the household.

It would be an useful functionality for everyone? Or should consider the development of an extension?

this would probably work best as an extension.
there's a similar extension that shows related contact's contributions: https://civicrm.org/extensions/display-related-contributions

you might be able to use that as a starting point and rework it for activities.
