CiviContribute Issue
November 17, 2016, 10:34:26 am
Our organization received a donation through our Drupal website (through CiviCRM) but it was authorized, but held for review. An email receipt was sent to our Accounting department from Authorize.net letting us know that the donation came through our website and that it's being held for review. It also included the billing info for the donor. What is not provided to us from the Authorize.net receipt is things like whether of not the gift was made in memory of someone, or answers to some other custom questions from our donation form.

So I went into CiviCRM to look up the donor to provide this missing info. The donor does not exist in CiviCRM. How could it be that the donor came through CiviCRM, and the donation is recognized (but pending) by Authorize.net, but no record is created for the donor in CiviCRM. Any way to retrieve the donor's info or fix this?

I'm guessing that failed donations don't get stored in CiviCRM for some reason. Because we can then approve the transaction in Authorize.net and push it through. But still, the info they provided on the donation form of the website is nowhere to be found. Any thoughts?

Thanks!

Hi Josh - i suggest you re-ask this on StackExchange which is where all the discussion happens these days. Also search it for recent authorize.net related questions in case others are asking too - eg here http://civicrm.stackexchange.com/questions/tagged/authorize.net
