No full access from Joomla front end?
June 20, 2008, 05:13:37 am
I am new to CiviCRM.

I tested the two demo on CiviCRM website.

I noticed that I can have a full access of CiviCRM after logging in to Drupal, but not Joomla.

We can only have full access of CiviCRM from Joomla back end?

Yes - Joomla front-end access is limited to "constituent-facing" pages that you configure in the Menu Manager. All other CiviCRM functionality (which is for use by staff or volunteers of the organization running CiviCRM) are accessed via Joomla admin interface.

Drupal does not have a front-end / back-end differentiation - so CiviCRM is exposed to folks who log in based on the "permissions" set by the Drupal administrator(s).
