Creating New Organization - DB Error
June 20, 2008, 02:44:43 pm
When going to create a New Organization, I'm getting a DB error.

unrecoverable error
Sorry. A non-recoverable error has occurred.

    DB Error: unknown error

Database Error Code: Cannot add or update a child row: a foreign key constraint fails (`myname_civicrm2/civicrm_log`, CONSTRAINT `FK_civicrm_log_modified_id` FOREIGN KEY (`modified_id`) REFERENCES `civicrm_contact` (`id`) ON DELETE CASCADE), 1452

This is coming from a new install.  Our previous upgrade from 1.9 to 2.0.4 caused huge failures, so I'm moving everything manually.

Usually this problem is caused by updating an installation while logged in - such that the contact record associated with the logged in user no longer exists. Generally just logging out and logging back in fixes it (since a new contact is created for the user if one doesn't exist when they log in).
