how can I track advertisers ad placement in the journal?

I want to track when as advertiser runs an ad in the journal for the organization.  For example, Acme Brick Company ran an ad in the summer issue of our member journal.

How could I best track that?  <I place the post here because I didn't know if it what specific civi-* forum it would best fit in>

Many thanks!

You could create a new Activity Type - "Advertisement" - and potentially add a custom field for that type to record the "journal issue".
