how to add a calculated field to membership form?
June 25, 2008, 01:56:35 pm
Part of the membership fee is based on the number of properties managed.  For example, base membership is $100 plus $0.25 multiplied by the number of units you manage.

I want to add a field to the membership form that when submitted will calculate that and add to the total membership fee before paying.

I know php well but am new to this.

How can I do this?

Many thanks in advance!

You cannot do this currently in v2.0 (or v2.1). This is similar to price set support that we have in events.

We'll probably address this in a future 2.x release. If need for your use case, you might want to contribute code and/or  hire a developer to add this feature to CiviCRM

Can I add a custom field to the membership form for membership fee where they calculate it themselves and enter it?  <Instead of fixed prices>
