Copying contact fields from credit card fields
June 29, 2008, 05:12:40 pm
I am using a contribution page to collect a contribution for a tribute book for an event.  I have set up a credit card payment through PayPal Pro which includes a set of fields for Billing Name and Address.  Since a person's billing information could be different from their contact information that they want to include in the tribute book, I also included a set of Contact fields using a custom page element from a Profile based on some of the individual fields.

The client would like to have the contact fields copy from the billing fields or vice versa, so people don't have to enter the information twice if it is the same.  Is there a way to copy a set of fields from contact to billing, or the other way around?  Or can I use a different set of fields and have the billing information copy to them?

You will need to customize the template for this, and add javascript to your custom template to do the copying between the two sets of fields
