Event list not coming up after upgrade to 1.7 stable

I have been using this beautiful tool in the last two months. Now upgraded some sites from 1.7.9019 to 1.7.9379. The CiviEvent link (on the main page) doesn't list the current events from that time on. The events can be seen at the constituents and I can also list them with a smart group (created before). The same phenomenon is with CiviMember and CiviMail, however they are enabled at the Global Settings.

All the other functionality (especially core CiviCRM) works well? Can you search and add contacts,  activities and so on? Are you running on Joomla or Drupal? Did anything else change as well in the meantime (PHP version, mysql version)?

Can you also check demo.civicrm.org and see if you get the same behavior. If so, do file an issue
