How to keep up to date with UK usergroup meetings

Hi all,

This forum is here to help organise the UK users group.  If you are interested in attending meet ups, you'll probably want to sign up to receive email notification of all new posts on this board.  You can do that by clicking on the notify button on the board homepage.

I'll also write blog posts about upcoming and past meetings on the CiviCRM blog.

At the moment, the plan is to hold meet ups every two months at different places around the UK to allow as many people as possible to attend.  If you'd like to hold one near you, start the ball rolling by writing a post!

UK User Group meetups will now be organised through http://civicrm.org/groups/uk

You need to be an authenticated user on civicrm.org to add meetups but if you want to organise something, just get an account and let the UK know when and where it is.

That link appears to be working - I'm not sure why you had a problem with it. You need to be authenticated to join the group.

The list of London meetups for for 2013 is not visible from any of the postings on this thread!
Should this thread still be pinned to appear on the top of this forum??

http://wiki.civicrm.org/confluence/display/CRM/London+meet+ups is the best source of info on london meet ups at the mo.  might not be the case for much longer since we expect the meet up infrastructure to improve considerably over the next month or two

I tried to create a Blog post using http://civicrm.org/node/add/blog but I keep getting "The website encountered an unexpected error. Please try again later." when I try to Preview it.

I've successfully created Blog posts in the past.... http://civicrm.org/blog/10299, so why can't I now?

I created a test blog entry and it worked well for me. Can you try logout/login and then try again to create a blog entry.

I tried it using a different browser and got the same error (when I tried Preview, I didn't try to Save).
Has someone changed my access rights?

This is crazy.  I've just entered the same data and hit Save (not Preview), and it worked.... http://civicrm.org/blogs/marktompsett/civicrm-meet-london-march-2013
Why doesn't Preview work (for me)?
